Sunset reed diffuser: one design, three customers
The Sunset diffuser is one of our own designs. Its shoulder curves like a wave and its orange cap sits on top like a setting sun. Since 2023 three customers have chosen it, each with their own colours and packaging. It shows how an ODM design can reach bulk production in about three months.
The design
Our design team started from the sea at sunset. The bottle's shoulder follows the curve of a wave, and the cap is a warm orange disc, like the sun dropping onto the water. The shape works in plain glass and in colour, which made it a good base for customers to adapt.
Three customers
- September 2023. A customer chose the design. We updated it with them and helped with the packaging design. Bulk production followed about three months later.
- April 2024. A second customer chose it, with its own colours, and went into bulk production.
- July 2024. A customer in Singapore chose it and started sampling.
Why an ODM design moves faster
The mould already exists, the glass has been through our tests, and the reeds and liquid are matched to the bottle neck. A customer's work goes into what shoppers notice: colour, cap, label and box. That is why the first Sunset project reached bulk production in about three months, including new packaging.
What it shows
A good design does not have to be exclusive to sell. Shared shapes with different colours and packaging can sit in different markets without competing. The ODM page shows more of our designs ready to adapt.
Questions buyers ask
Can we still choose the Sunset diffuser?
Yes. It is one of our own designs and stays available for new customers, with your own colour, cap and packaging.
Will our version look the same as another customer's?
The shape is shared. Glass colour, cap, liquid colour, label and box are chosen per customer, so each version looks different on the shelf.
How fast can an ODM diffuser reach production?
In the first Sunset project, about three months from choosing the design to bulk production, including the design update and new packaging.
